The Hahn House
Percy's Oldest Home
|
|
|
Located at the junction of Almond Street and Brown
Avenue in Percy, this home was
constructed by David Brown in 1875, a well known and prosperous businessman of
that time. The home was later sold to the HAHN family and has
been so
'called' ever since.
The home has had many residents through the years, most
taking good care of the building
to preserve its history. For many years it remained vacant, and children
would "swear" they
seen someone looking out the windows as they passed by of a night! A
couple of the former
residents also tell of "noise in the night" as they tried to
sleep...could it be haunted?
In the spring of 2006, this beautiful historic home was
purchased by a local couple and restored.
It is now a B&B. To see current photos of rooms and reconstruction,
