This website began as a part-time "labor of love"
project for me.
I knew the earlier versions weren't quite there yet, and
asking for support
for a still very-much-in-development website did not strike me as being
fair.
Thanks to a bunch of hard work and the support of the best contributors on the
planet,
RCI's popularity has grown tremendously.
Once it became successful (as we've been fortunate enough to do) the costs
involved to just keeping
things running far exceed what my budget will allow.
I've chosen to
continue building this site, instead of letting it die, as others have in the
past.
I like what I do.
RCI is filling an important role by providing you with reliable sources of information.
Quite simply, RCI - despite a shoe-string budget - is one of the Internet's better
sites.
And we hope to get even better. With your help.
We want to make our site even better by providing you with more information and
greater
coverage of Randolph County Illinois politics, statistics and culture.
This coverage will take up 'space', and the 'space' is what costs the $$.
While we have funding commitments for limited growth, to really make a
splash
we'll need more than the funding pledged.
